Kim Delaney, an American actor best known for her role as Detective Diane Russell on ABC's NYPD Blue series, for which she received the Emmy Award. Delaney is the daughter of an executive in the United Auto Workers who was also an auntie. Delaney has four older brothers. The idea of being a reporter for the court in her early years, but began modeling in high school eventually garnering commercials when she moved to New York. Her first job as an actor was as an innocent teenager in the 1981 soap opera All My Children. Delaney is a well-known actress who has been featured in a variety of TV movies, and dramas. Similar to her profession however, her private life has not been easy or prosperous. The actress, who is talented and beautiful, has battled addiction to alcohol before. Her marriages have also been unsuccessful twice. She was divorced in 2005 and lost custody of the only child she was born with.
